Trainerize Pricing in 2026: Plans, Add-Ons and the Real Monthly Bill

The short answer, as of September 2026: the ABC Trainerize pricing page lists a free Basic plan for one client, Grow from $9 a month for two clients, Pro plans that start at $25 a month for up to 5 clients and scale to $135 a month for up to 50, and Studio Plus from $275 a month per location for up to 500. Annual billing saves 10% and prices are in USD. The number most coaches actually pay is higher, because payments, nutrition coaching, video and the branded app are all separate add-ons. A coach with 30 clients who takes payments in the app and wants a branded app should expect around $89 a month plus $268 of one-off and yearly fees in year one, and the arithmetic is below.
Trainerize pricing plans in 2026
Trainerize is now branded ABC Trainerize: same app, same plans, new name on the pricing page and in the app stores.
The page defaults to annual billing, which is why the plan cards show $23 for Pro 5 and $248 for Studio Plus; its own summary text gives the monthly figures above and says annual billing saves 10% across all paid plans. The intermediate Pro tiers sit behind a client-count slider that shows one price at a time. Two mid-2026 reviews that walked the slider, QuickCoach and Coaching Portal, agree on every step and match the page's own range. Figures marked "reviewers" come from them; the rest are printed on the Trainerize page.
| Plan | Coaching clients | Monthly billing | Annual billing, per month | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Basic | 1 | Free | Free | | Grow | 2 | $10 (reviewers) | $9 | | Pro 5 | 5 | $25 | $23 | | Pro 15 | 15 | $50 (reviewers) | $45 (reviewers) | | Pro 30 | 30 | $79 (reviewers) | $71 (reviewers) | | Pro 50 | 50 | $135 | $122 (reviewers) | | Pro 75 | 75 | $180 (reviewers) | $162 (reviewers) | | Pro 100 | 100 | $225 (reviewers) | $203 (reviewers) | | Pro 200 | 200 | $250 (reviewers) | $225 (reviewers) | | Studio Plus | 500 per location | $275 | $248 |
Higher tiers add features as well as seats: Grow brings the AI workout builder and macro tracking, Pro adds custom exercise videos, forms and advanced messaging, and Studio Plus adds group video, API access and every add-on. The client counts are coaching seats, not a running total: with 31 paying clients you are on Pro 50, not Pro 30.
The Trainerize add-ons that turn $25 into $100
This is where most of the surprise lives. The pricing page lists four paid add-ons for Grow and Pro, all included at no extra cost on Studio and Enterprise:
| Add-on | Price as of September 2026 | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | | Stripe Integrated Payments | $10 a month | Sell products and take payments. Stripe's own per-transaction fee applies on top | | Advanced Nutrition Coaching | $20 a month on Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15; $45 a month on Pro 30 to Pro 200 | Meal planner, recipes, grocery lists | | Business | $25 a month | Scheduling, booking links, referrals, on-demand classes and automation | | Video Coaching | $10 a month on Pro | 50 hours of video calls and 100 hours of streaming | | Custom Branded App (Pro) | $169 one-time | Your logo and colours on the Trainerize app | | Apple Developer Program | $99 a year, paid to Apple | Required to publish on the App Store independently |
One wrinkle worth a support ticket: the Business add-on's feature list on the pricing page opens with access to the Stripe Integrated Payments and Video Coaching add-ons. Read literally, in-app payments would cost $35 a month ($25 Business plus $10 Stripe). The same page's FAQ lists the four add-ons as separate purchases, so ask Trainerize which applies to your plan.
Trainerize custom branded app: what $169 does and does not buy
Read this part of the pricing page carefully, because "branded app" means three different things at three price points:
- Pro Custom Branded App, $169 one-time. Your logo and colours applied to the Trainerize app. Clients still download the Trainerize app; it looks like yours once they are inside.
- Studio Branded App, included with Studio plans. The page describes this as a fully white-labelled app listed under your brand name in the App Store and Google Play. This is what most people picture when they hear "my own app", and it starts at $275 a month.
- Enterprise Branded App, custom pricing. Full customisation, icon packs, widgets and e-commerce.
Whichever you choose, independent App Store publishing needs an Apple Developer account at $99 a year, paid to Apple. And if you later drop to the free plan, the cancellation FAQ says the branded app is deactivated, clients return to the main ABC Trainerize app and recurring payment products are cancelled.
A worked example: 30 clients, payments and a branded app
Take a coach with 30 clients who bills through the app and wants the Pro branded app, on monthly billing, using the Pro 30 figure reviewers report:
| Line | Monthly | One-off or yearly | | --- | --- | --- | | Pro 30, monthly billing (reviewers) | $79 | | | Stripe Integrated Payments | $10 | | | Custom Branded App (Pro) | | $169 once | | Apple Developer Program | | $99 a year | | Subtotal | $89 | $268 |
Year one: $89 × 12 = $1,068, plus $268, which is $1,336, or about $111 a month averaged. Year two: $1,068 plus the $99 Apple renewal, $1,167, about $97 a month.
Now add what many online coaches actually want:
- Advanced Nutrition Coaching on Pro 30 is $45 a month, $540 a year, taking year one to $1,876.
- If the Business add-on is required for payments, add $25 a month, $300 a year, for $2,176.
- Annual billing would trim Pro 30 to about $71, saving roughly $96 a year, paid upfront.
- Stripe's transaction fee comes out of every payment on top. Stripe publishes rates per country on its pricing page; on $3,000 a month of client billing, every 1% of fees is $30 a month.
None of it is hidden, exactly; it is spread across six places.
Hidden costs to check before you sign up
- Seat tiers, not actual clients. Client 31 moves you from Pro 30 to Pro 50, from $79 to $135 on the reviewers' figures, so one client effectively costs $56 a month until you fill the tier.
- The nutrition step. The same nutrition add-on more than doubles, from $20 to $45, at Pro 30.
- Apple's $99 every year. Trainerize states it plainly, but it recurs.
- Payments live inside the platform. Recurring products are cancelled if you move to the free plan, so leaving means rebuilding your billing elsewhere.
Who should stay on Trainerize
Plenty of trainers should. Under 15 clients, Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15 are inexpensive, and the 30-day trial with unlimited clients and no card lets you test properly. If you coach online and the workout builder, exercise video library and habit tracking are your product, Trainerize's programming engine is one of the strongest available, and a $169 logo-and-colours app is a cheap way to look more professional. A studio with hundreds of members gets every add-on and a genuine white-label app in Studio Plus for $275 a month. Our guide to the best apps for personal trainers covers where it fits.
Who should look at a Trainerize alternative
The bill starts to argue with you in three situations:
- You are at 30 or more clients and paying for two or more add-ons. That is $100 to $180 a month for a tier of a shared app, and the next client pushes you up again.
- Your brand does the selling. If clients find you by name, an app that is yours in the App Store and Google Play, rather than a recoloured version of someone else's, is worth more than the $169 saved.
- You want the client relationship and the store listing to outlast your choice of software. On a platform, both belong to the platform.
Platform alternatives with published prices
As of September 2026, from each vendor's own pricing page:
- PT Distinction: Basic $19.90 a month for 3 clients, Pro $59.90 for 25, Master $89.90 for 50, with your own custom branded Android and iOS apps included on Pro and Master. Extra clients cost $2.40 a month each on Pro.
- Everfit: free for up to 5 clients, then Pro at $19 (5), $29 (10), $49 (20), $95 (50) and $160 (100) a month, with payments a $9 add-on, meal plans $39 and Autoflow from $29. Branding is inside the Everfit app; a separately listed white-label app goes through sales.
- TrueCoach: $26.34 a month for 5 clients, $57.99 for 20 and $136.99 for 50, with a custom-branded app on Standard and Pro. No monthly payments add-on; TrueCoach Payments takes a flat 5% per transaction instead.
- My PT Hub: the page localised to euros for us and showed Premium at €59 a month for unlimited clients, a Custom Branded App at €95 one-time and a White Label App with your own store listings at €145 a month on top.
An owned app instead of a platform
The other route is to stop renting a tier and have your own app. At Codersy Apps we design, build and publish a branded iOS and Android app under your own name and logo in the App Store and Google Play, for a flat monthly price with no development fee and no per-client fee, and you can cancel any month. For personal trainers that is a client app plus a trainer app: programmes, exercise video demos with your own library imported, measurements and progress photos, weekly check-ins, in-app chat, session booking and a payments overview. The price is quoted within one working day, you see a demo on your phone in 7 days, and the app is live in both stores in 3 to 4 weeks. Lazar Jovanović, a personal trainer since 2018, runs his coaching this way with his own app in both stores.
This is not the right first step for a coach with eight clients; Trainerize will be cheaper and you have nothing to migrate. It makes sense once per-client tiers and add-ons have crossed the flat fee, or once your name is what clients search for. The comparison is on our Trainerize alternative page, and the personal trainer app and white-label fitness app pages list what is included.
The bottom line
Trainerize pricing in 2026 is honest but scattered: $25 to $135 a month for Pro depending on client count, plus $10 for payments, $20 to $45 for nutrition, $25 for Business, $169 once for a logo-and-colours app and $99 a year to Apple. Small rosters and programming-first online coaches get excellent value. At 30-plus clients with add-ons, run the arithmetic above against a flat-fee alternative. And if you want the store listing and the client relationship to be yours, get in touch and we will quote a monthly price within a working day.
